Plagiarism Policy


Plagiarism is defined as the use of others’ ideas, texts, results, or data without proper acknowledgment of their source, or presenting them as original work by the author.

  • Scope of the Policy

  • This policy applies to all research submitted for publication in the conference proceedings, including:

    1. full research papers
    2. extended abstracts
    3. short and technical papers
  • Types of Plagiarism

  • Scientific plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

    1. direct copying (copy-paste) without citation.
    2. unauthorized paraphrasing of others' ideas.
    3. self-plagiarism by republishing previous work without clear indication.
    4. incorrect or incomplete citation of references.
    5. publishing the same research in multiple venues without disclosure.
    6. using fabricated or unverified data or results.
  • Plagiarism Detection Methods

  • The conference employs the following procedures:

    1. using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate).
    2. manual review by the scientific committee and reviewers.
    3. comparing submitted research with scientific databases.
  • Acceptable Similarity Rate

    1. The similarity rate should not exceed 15% to 20% at most (excluding cited references and quotations).
    2. The rate is evaluated based on the quality of the citation, not just the numerical percentage.
  • Procedures for Dealing with Plagiarism

    1. Before acceptance:

      1. immediate rejection of the research in case of clear plagiarism or high similarity rate.
      2. request for modification and correction in cases of minor similarity.
    2. After acceptance or publication:

      1. withdrawal of the research from the conference proceedings.
      2. Notification to authors and their affiliated institutions.
      3. Prohibition of the author from participating in future sessions (in cases of serious violations).

  • Authors are committed to:

    1. Submitting 100% original works.
    2. Accurately documenting all sources.
    3. Using quotation marks for direct quotes.
